My tenant just asked me if they could end their lease a month early because they are going into the military. I personally don't have a problem with this as long as I have someone to take over the apartment as soon as they're gone. I am a new landlord though and wanted to see what others do with a request like this. Would love your thoughts

I keep seeing people turn their basements into rentals, but I’ve heard the rules can get tricky depending on where you live. How do you figure out if a basement can legally be rented out?
