You search for a church in your new town. Baptist. Catholic. Orthodox. Methodist. Pentecostal. Non-denominational. So many labels. All claiming to follow the same Jesus. Why? 📌 Here's what might surprise you: Jesus never started a denomination. Neither did the apostles. What you see today is nearly two thousand years of history, culture, courage, and human weakness tangled together. The earliest believers were just called "followers of the Way." They met in homes. They broke bread together. They shared devotion to Jesus—not to a brand. But as churches spread across the Roman Empire, they naturally developed different flavors. Greek speakers. Latin speakers. Different cities. Different cultures. Then in 313 AD, Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity. ⚠️ Persecution ended. Buildings went up. Political power entered the picture.
