Letter from the Governor
Over the weekend, we visited Boise, Idaho for the very first time. It was such a fun experience to explore the town, and we even got the chance to tour the Capitol building. The day we visited, the governor wasn’t in—but Mia decided to leave him a note asking if he could write her a letter. Yesterday, we received a package in the mail from the Governor’s office with a kind note and even some special recipes included! Mia was beyond excited to open it and read something just for her. 🥳

Oct 1 Summary
Today was one of those days that reminds me why I love homeschooling. Mia and I dove into California — we watched a documentary on different cities and national parks, then a quick history video that touched on Spain’s arrival and the Mexican War. We even pulled out a world map and practiced categorizing continents and oceans. For Social Studies, she also worked on a “Your State” informational page, where she researched things like the state flower, state parks, and other fun facts. And for Science, we shifted gears and explored plant structures — seeds, flowers, buds, and stems. I’ll be honest — homeschooling can feel like juggling a thousand things, but at the end of the day I love seeing how all the pieces fit together. Today, it was California, maps, history, and plants all woven into one day of learning. 💡 👉 Parents, I’d love to hear from you: What did your homeschool day look like today? Did you discover anything fun or unexpected with your kids? Let’s share wins, challenges, and maybe even those “oops, that didn’t work” moments — because we’re all in this together. ❤️
