Survival is When Healing Begins
But for those of us living with disability, amputation, or chronic illness, accepting who we are today is one of the hardest steps—because society, and often faith communities, refuse to accept us first.
For me, the real turning point wasn’t surgery or rehab. It was realizing that I couldn’t wait for the world to give me permission to live as I am now. I had to stop chasing the version of “healed” they were comfortable with and start building a life I could be proud of—exactly as I am.
