Let us apply our hearts to wisdom, forsaking spiritual adultery
Ephesians 5:11 “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” James 4:4 “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” "Adulterers and adulteresses." That is some heavy verbiage. Some would dare to think that James is referring to fornicators and wicked persons who do not know God. However, that would make this statement void. This charge is laid to those in the church who have drifted away from sound faith. Those who have chosen to run after the things of this world and still profess God. This is an error. I believe in this season, God is leading His children to correct this error. We have been taught in this generation not to offend anyone and that we must be tolerant of the sin in the lives of those around us. This is not biblical. Hypocrisy and shameful condemnation is not the answer either. The answer is given to us in the scripture above. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them. How do we reprove them without being offensive and intolerant? Well, we can't. Prayerfully consider this in your own life. Jesus said in John 15 verse 18 “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” This is just one of the many times Jesus tells us that we will not be the most likeable people if we tell the truth. Thankfully, there is another side to the coin. “He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.” Proverbs 15:32 This side tells us that not everyone will despise your sayings. Some will receive them and be the better for it. These people are the reason we do it. Matthew 10:40 “He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. ” Jesus left us with work to do. He gave us Holy Spirit to guide us into that work. Today, I think it is a good idea to ask the Lord if we have turned aside to spiritual adultery in any way and repent of what He shows us. He is coming back for a pure bride. <3

Sons and Daughters
The High Calling is to walk with Holy Spirit daily. Hearing, yielding, hearkening unto the Voice of God. Obedience is better than sacrifice. (1 Samuel 15:22) He will have mercy and not sacrifice. (Matthew 9:13) The sacrifices of God are a broken and contrite spirit. (Psalm 51:17) Present your body as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1) (2 Corinthians 6:16-18) 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.)

Blessing in Disguise
The word clearly gives us responsibility. Jesus said to abide in Him and cause His words to abide in you. Then He says you will bear fruit. He goes on to say if you don't bare fruit you will be cut down and thrown into the fire. This is a pretty strong saying from the lover of our souls. The word is full of strong warnings like this. Yet He says that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Does that mean he is contradicting Himself? Not hardly. It means that He is teaching you the way you should go and warning you of what will happen if you don't. It would be foolish for someone to tell you only the good things about a dangerous place and not warn you about what is lurking around the corner. Spiritual laziness is dangerous. Period. It is the easiest way to become lukewarm. God doesn't hate you because you got dry but rather desires that you repent and return to Him for restoration and revitalizing. The word is full of wisdom and instruction. It is not a list of rules but rather a great opportunity to live well. An opportunity to avoid unnecessary trials and troubles. You have to obey though. It is not helpful for you to hear the word and not do it. God does ask for a few things in return for the desires of your heart. You tell others and use the gifts he has given you, to help others. This is not an exhaustive list of what the word shows us but rather a small demonstration of the manifold blessings of God. Obedience is one blessing that we cannot afford to miss out on. Every good thing comes from God and he often gives us steps to receive it. I am reminding myself as well, blessed is he who believes and hath not seen. Thank You Lord for Your many blessings!
"God made us to be with Him; to be Loved by Him, to share life with Him."
"God made us to be with Him; to be Loved by Him, to share life with Him." It is hard to receive that when your life has been in shambles and everything feels so difficult, even sad. That is where the garden comes in. God didn't want Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. Yes, it is likely that He knew they would. If so, He also knew He had a plan for redemption from the start. He certainly carried it out. Now we get to do what He originally intended both now and forevermore. "God made us to be with Him; to be Loved by Him, to share life with Him."
Helping others as 2 Corinthians 1:4 teaches
When I encounter someone with a problem similar to what I have gone through, I have a responsibility to God to pray about helping that person before I try to give advice. However, there are times when you didn't expect the person to show up or the situation for them to need advice arises. This is the beauty of Holy Spirit. One of Very Many! He is always our helper. We are called to be ready in season and out of season to give an answer for this blessed hope we have. Thank You Holy Spirit that You make me ready! Thank you Father God for drawing me to You daily to fill me eith an overflow for those around me. My cup runs over!
