Not every person listens to understand you. Some only listen to reply, judge, twist your words, or confirm the version of you they already created in their mind. No amount of explaining can change someone who is committed to misunderstanding you.
Buddhism teaches that inner peace is far more valuable than endless conflict. The more you try to prove yourself to people determined to doubt you, the more exhausted your mind becomes.
You do not need to attend every argument you are invited to. Silence is not weakness. Walking away is not defeat. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is let people keep their opinions while you keep your peace.
Save your energy for people who genuinely care, listen, and respect your truth.
Because peace of mind is priceless, and not everyone deserves access to it.
