Fix your two handed backhand with 3 coaching cues
Most players are taught where to swing.
Great coaches teach where to make contact.
When I’m teaching a 2-handed backhand out of the air on the ball machine, these are the 3 cues I use:
✅ Extend out in front first✅ Use mostly the left hand (for right-handed players)✅ Load the left leg → transfer to the right leg
One of the most common mistakes?
The ball keeps sailing high over the net.
Before changing the swing, check the contact point.
If contact is too close to the body, the paddle face tends to open and the ball floats.
Move the contact point further out in front and watch the trajectory flatten immediately.
Simple cue. Huge difference.
