My body felt heavy, my brain was foggy, and my joy felt out of reach. The turning point came when I made the choice to own it allโ€ฆ the weight, the emotions, the setbacks, and the wins. This is the first step in the R.O.D.A. Mindsetโ„ข: Responsibility. Psychology tells us that taking responsibility shifts our locus of control. Instead of feeling helpless, we begin to believe our actions can shape the outcome. That belief builds self-efficacy, the confidence that we can do the work and win. For women in midlife, this is more than theory, it is therapy. It is how we begin to peel back layers of fatigue, anxiety, and self-doubt so we can step into clarity and freedom. For me, it began with eight minutes of movement.
