What comes up for you when you hear the word "Health?" Are you feeling excited, joyous, relaxed? Or are you feeling overwhelmed, confused, frustrated? If second, I hear you! For most of my life I have been faced with challenges in my health, from physical downfalls and diagnoses such as an autoimmune disroders to sepsis to gallstones to IBS - you name it. And I got lost in the labyrinth of finding my way in the ocean of health trends and people telling me what diet to choose, what supplement to take, and how to live my life. When health hit the lowest point for me, I experienced daily depressive moods, extreme hormonal imbalances, unbearable menstruation pain and PMS, unexplainable weight gain, digestive issues of any kind and an extreme low immunsystem. By then I have tried every modern health trend and diet, and it only seemed to get worse. This is when Ayurveda found me. The fact that it is a holistic healing system as old as nature is gave me from the beginning a really calm feeling. It felt safe in a way I knew it hasn't been around for just a decade, but more thousands and thousands of years. My body felt a different sense of trust. And guess what? Within a few weeks of really very simple adjustments I could already notice a shift, in my body AND my mind. Because Ayurveda isn't about radical changes. It is about consistency, devotion and really all about returning home and remembering your own unique inner nature. The reason for illness of any kind is because we have forgotten this. How our own nature thrives and functions just perfectly. It isn't about what works for your friend, colleague or your favorite influencer. It is about what YOUR body needs. Ayurveda addresses each person as an individual, which is why it works. Health isn't linear. It's never been. 🌿 In my work as an Ayurvedic Counsellor I have seen many people coming confused and overwhelmed, until they connected again with themselves, their nature. With some guidance and gentle reminders, they found their own path back to balance and more inner harmony.
