Is your sleep restful and restoring?
Hello everybody!
In today's live session I spoke about sleep, the importance of sleep in the healing and restorative process. Unfortunately the quality of the audio is not good, so I won't be sharing the recording, unless I can figure out how to fix that. Anyhow, we can talk about that at the next call again and I will soon add a tapping along to the EFT library for helping you to fall asleep and stay asleep longer.
Key points I went through today:
  • Although these functions are constantly happening in the body, restoration and detoxification are estimated and ignited by the hormones our body releases at night. When we don't have a quality sleep, these functions are not optimal and so you wake up feeling tired, stiff, achy.
  • How you can get a good night sleep and fall asleep with ease: (1) EFT - Tapping for the pain if you are in pain and/or tap to release the thoughts and emotions related to the fact that you can't fall asleep; (2) Plasmatic Therapy for the pain (direct the video to the pain site) and to relax (direct the video to the thymus gland=centre of the chest area); (3) listen to a meditation with binaural beats - "Sound Healing" by Kelly Howell - available on Spotify/Apple Music and on her website (for a cost) - I suggest using this one for at least 2 weeks and as needed afterwards; (4) Breathing at the pace of 4-1-8-4 for about 3 to 10 min - inhale counting to 4, hold for 1, exhale counting to 8, hold for 4 and repeat. I recommend combining two of these techniques or using at least one every night.
  • Get 6 to 8 hours sleep regularly. If you are healing of fibromyalgia or Parkinson Disease, it is very important that you set up an alarm to go sleep more than it is to wake up. Being consistent and getting 8 hours sleep per night is key to your recovery.
  • Train and command your body to go sleep by telling your body two or three times during the day: "Hello my body, tonight we will go to bed at 8 pm (or whatever hour you set), and we will fall asleep with ease inn just a few minutes. We will have a successful pain free and restorative night." If any of these don't feel quite right or that you can believe it, you can adjust the language but remember to keep it actionable, positive and focused. Your brain will listen and you will start seeing results in a few days or weeks. Don't give up, trust the process.
Which of these techniques can you adopt and include in your routine? Were you already familiar with or have you used these practices before? Tell us how these practices are helping you improve your sleep. And if you have any difficulties, let me know so I can help you.
Remember to add the live to your calendar so you don't miss our next live. If the time doesn't suit you, please comment here or DM me with times that could work best for you so I can adjust/accomodate.
See you next week!
Be pain free!
Love to you all
Andrea
