Hi Justin,
I've been playing around with your suggestions and allowing myself to just go and learn and explore. I took advantage of learning where the notes are on my pan and exploring the sounds. I haven't figured out how to "give it air" yet but, given that I've only been doing this since March, I'm pretty happy with my keeping the groove. Thanks for your nudge.
