Adults don’t know what they’re doing, but as a kid you think they do
I think one of the strangest parts of adult life is realising nobody actually knows what they’re doing.
As a kid, you assume adults have everything figured out.
Then you grow up and realise everyone’s basically improvising with varying levels of confidence.
Some people just hide it better.
One minute you’re discussing mortgages, work stress and life goals…
The next you’re Googling:
“How long can chicken stay in the fridge before it becomes a biological weapon?”
It’s chaos.
But weirdly comforting chaos.
So go on then…
👉 What’s the most “adult” thing you still feel completely underqualified for?
