Yesterday we gave our Digital Employee a finish line. Today, let’s make it easier to pick up the work tomorrow.
I’m Don Wansley. Call me Guru.
📂 Start with a clean handoff
Imagine you prepared a customer FAQ today. Tomorrow, you want your agent to improve it. If you only say “continue,” it may not have the approved draft, the corrections, or the next step available.
A short handoff gives the next session something concrete to use.
📝 Save these five lines
🎯 Goal: What are we trying to finish?
📎 Current work: Which file or draft should we use?
✅ Checked: What has already been verified?
🚧 Open: What is unfinished or blocked?
➡️ Next action: What should happen next, and what needs approval?
Keep this note beside the actual work. Include the exact filename or destination when possible. Before sharing screenshots or receipts with the community, remove private customer information and credentials.
🛠️ Try this assignment
“Read this handoff and the attached approved draft. Tell me what you can actually access. Continue from the next unfinished step. Preserve the completed work and check before making another copy. If something is missing, name it. Prepare changes for my review; do not send or publish.”
Attach the real materials or provide access through an approved tool. Mentioning a file does not automatically give an agent access to it.
💼 A simple business example
Goal: Prepare a customer FAQ from my approved service notes.
Current work: Customer-FAQ-draft-v1.
Checked: Service names match the notes.
Open: Two prices need my confirmation.
Next action: Mark those prices as pending and prepare the remaining answers for review.
Now the next session can move forward while keeping the uncertain details visible. It should not guess the missing prices.
🤝 Turn experience into a lesson
Our ongoing collaboration with ChatGPT and our use of OpenAI technology within Gurus AI give us real workflows to learn from. A clean handoff connects one work session to the next and helps us teach the process.
Saved notes still need to be available to the next session. Ask the agent to confirm what it read before it acts. That makes remembered experience useful in practice.
🔄 Keep LIVE ACTION connected
Observe ↔ Think ↔ Act ↔ Verify ↔ Learn ↔ Remember ↔ Adapt ↔ Act.
Today’s checked work becomes tomorrow’s starting point. Each creation or correction can become a practical lesson when we capture the steps and evidence.
📦 Your challenge today
Take one small task you have already started. Write the five-line handoff, then give it to your AI with the approved draft.
Comment: “My next action is ______.”
Share what it correctly resumed—or what missing input you discovered. Keep your public example free of private details.
