Howdy friends, I'm working on more videos, and pdfs right now. Next Subject I am going to tackle will be Music Theory, as it is frequently requested. In the meantime, as I grow this community, I wanted to offer you founding students as thanks for signing up a chance for a free lesson. Moving from Guitar Novice to Musician.
Welcome to Guitar Genius! I’m glad you’re here. I’m building this to help you move from “I know a few things” to feeling confident on the guitar. Here’s the path we’ll work through: 1. Build control Picking, fretting, fingerpicking, and rhythm, so your hands can do what you want. 2. Understand the fretboard Learn the notes, intervals, and the main zones of guitar progression so the neck feels less like a mystery. 3. Build a useful chord library Learn chord shapes you’ll actually return to, then practice using them in songs. 4. Put it all into music Choose songs you care about, learn them methodically, and use them to strengthen the skills along the way. I’ll keep adding lessons, practice ideas, and resources as we go. Curriculum incoming
Howdy friends, It's been a hectic few weeks, and I've decided to really share my knowledge in a way that's conducive. The problem with social media, is that when my videos come across a timeline, they come at random, and are disconnected, so I've decided to put them in a curriculum. In the process of bulk recording the fundamentals right now. My draft structure so far: Technique > Functional Theory > Learning Music > Improve > Writing > Performance. Video focuses: Better sounding chords, getting over plateus, not knowing where to start, what to practice when you don't know what to do next. If you know someone else trying to learn guitar, send this to a friend who can benefit! After videos are recorded, I'll have a discord server ready for private lessons, and as a place for community conversation.
