Why You Need This....
Hello All, I have been an outpatient therapist and clinical supervisor in the mental health field for 25+ years and there is rarely a week that goes by that someone I supervise or even myself doesn't have a question about what to do with a client. After starting RTT, one of my fellow students was doing a session when their client stopped in the middle and said, "I can't do this." The fellow student calmed the client in the moment and made a plan to reconvene. In the meantime, the client sends a message that they are triggered and upset. I was able to share how to handle the situation in the moment in the future (I.e. do a containment exercise) and how to reach back out to the client with what to say and how to re-engage the client long enough to ensure safety and provide healing follow up. As a solopreneur, it is nice to have a group that supports the healing modalities.
