Before your Q3 planning session, work through these seven checkpoints:
1. What should we stop doing?
Growth rarely comes from doing more. It often comes from eliminating distractions that consume time without creating value.
2. Where is momentum already building?
Double down on what's working instead of spreading resources across too many initiatives.
3. What is the one decision we've been avoiding?
The conversations or decisions you've delayed are often the ones limiting growth.
4. If we had to grow with the same team, what would need to change?
Don't default to hiring. Look for process improvements, clearer priorities and better delegation first.
5. Which KPI actually predicts success?
Vanity metrics are comforting. Focus on the leading indicator that tells you whether you're on track before the quarter ends.
6. Is every leader solving the same business priority?
Misalignment is expensive. If each department has a different interpretation of success, execution will suffer.
7. Have I protected time to think?
Your calendar reflects your priorities. If every hour is spent reacting, there's no space for strategic leadership.
Which question challenged your thinking the most?
