(Has anyone else had this happen?) Diagnosing Speckled Pea failures
Hey all! I'd like some feedback. I've been growing speckled peas for over a year with no major issues. In fact they've been mostly easy and forgiving when growing them. Lately, however, I've been struggling to harvest a crop I can sell because of an odd issue I've been unable to diagnose.
When they come out of germination, they are extremely slow to start turning green even after several days under light. They also have browning on the tips. The growth is severely slowed and stunted, if they grow at all.
I have not noticed any indications that the seed is bad when planting, and I'm pretty confident my process is more or less "by the book." I've reached out to the seed supplier to see if there is anything that could have gone wrong with the seeds as I've been working through the package.
Have any of you ever had this issue and/ or have any idea about why this is happening?
PS the pictures were taken at Day 9 of growth.
