Accidental experiment… white vs pink light
So, when we started growing we only used T8 pink lights. We’ve been migrating to the T5 white lights. So we still have both in the grow room.
Last Friday we planted a few trays of basil. They go direct under lights for a week, with daily misting. I used the shelves we had available and so some went under T8 pinks and some under T5 white.
Well, I was watering today and happened to notice the difference. Quite a bit more germination under the pink lights (left) than the white (right)!
They later go under T5s closer to the lights, and all seems to be equal, but I’ll keep track going forward.
Fun stuff!
