My goal has never been to seek patent protection for the core technology—I want to prove it works and release it to the world for everyone to use. Of course, specific applications of the technology can still be patented, and I fully expect that individual companies will find ways to integrate and refine the tech in their own ways. But the foundational principles? They belong to all of us. While I currently lack the disposable income to finish testing my prototype, I'm close to acquiring the necessary equipment to complete my research.
