First of all, WELCOME! Thank you for joining us! We are a group of parents learning to parent using the model God demonstrates all through Scripture. A model that is peaceful, powerful AND effective. This model focuses on identity, rather than behavior. Scripture tells us that all behavior flows out of the heart, so we must address the heart in order to affect behavior. Since the heart is the control center of every human being, what is deposited there WILL produce actions, choices and behaviors. Parents have a unique window of opportunity in the very early years of life of direct access to their child's heart. God has given us this window to establish the child's foundation for his entire life. Graceful Parenting gives you the understanding and tools to effectively raise children who know their true identity in Christ and fulfill their God-given destiny on the earth. Today's Call Recording
Today I talked about how to make sure you don't pass along your own trauma to your kids. The Bible calls these "iniquities" and we are warned over and over and over again (I actually couldn't believe how many times the Bible mentions this) that these WILL be "visited upon the children" if we don't deal with them. Iniquities are NOT sin! They are patterns of behavior that are intertwined so much in us, we think they are just the "way we are". However, our true ID is just like Christ. So anything that isn't like Christ, isn't us. I will be sharing the Prayer of Transformation that I use for myself and my clients to instantly remove these iniquities and replace them with the truth.
