I grew up in the church. I knew how to go through the motions — the songs, the prayers, the right answers. From the outside, I probably looked like I had it together. But on the inside, I knew something was missing. I had never fully committed. I was going through the motions without ever truly crossing over. That changed at a summer camp in my mid-teens. Something happened there that moved me from knowing about Christ to actually walking with Him. It wasn’t dramatic in the way people might expect. But it was real. And it was permanent. Looking back over nearly 50 years of walking with God since that moment, I realize I’m not alone in that “insider-outsider” experience. There are a lot of people sitting in church every Sunday who know the language, who show up faithfully, who have some kind of commitment — but not a full one. Not the kind that changes you from the inside out. I started Graceful Growth for those people. Not for people looking for a church. For people looking for Jesus — honestly, sincerely, without pretense. A place where you don’t have to perform or pretend. Where you can start exactly where you are and take the next real step forward. That’s what I needed once. This is what I wish had existed. Just know you are welcome here.
