This morning during my devotion, I found myself sitting with Romans 8:1: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” For a very long time, I walked in condemnation. From the age of 13 well into adulthood, I carried this feeling that I was not good enough. I knew who God was. I knew about His Word. Yet, for years, I did not fully understand His love for me. It wasn’t until I was in my 30s that I began to truly see His love for what it was—and to understand what it meant to walk in the freedom Christ had already given me. So this morning, Romans 8 hit differently. Maybe you need this reminder too. I don’t know where you are in your season. I don’t know what you’ve done, where you’ve been, or what you may still be carrying. But my friend, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:2 reminds us that through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit who gives life has set us free from the law of sin and death. You don’t have to continue carrying condemnation for something Christ has already set you free from. You are set free through Christ, who has saved you. Your past does not get the final word. Your mistakes do not get the final word. Condemnation does not get the final word. Jesus does. This was my devotion this morning, and I pray it reaches whoever needed this reminder today just as much as I did. But Scripture tells us that, through Jesus Christ, the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. You are no longer condemned. You are free because Christ has set you free. No matter what you have done or where you have been, your past does not have the final word. In Christ, condemnation does not have the final word. Jesus does. Today, I’m reminded that I don’t have to keep carrying what Christ has already set me free from. And neither do you. During my devotional today, I was reminded of the authority of Jesus and His faithfulness through every struggle. 💜 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” —Ephesians 6:10, KJV When John saw the risen Lord, he fell at His feet. Jesus reached out and reassured him, “Fear not” (Revelation 1:17). That encounter reminds me of both His power and His tenderness. Today, I’m choosing to place my confidence in Jesus and trust in His authority, because through every struggle, He has been faithful. Let’s take a moment to read, reflect, and realign. 📖 READ Read Ephesians 6:10–18. Notice what Paul tells believers to rely on and how he connects strength with God’s armor and prayer. ✍️ REFLECT What does this passage teach about where our strength comes from? Where in your life do you need to rely on that strength today? 🙏 REALIGN Bring that area to God in prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand His Word and take a faithful next step. Make room for your personal time with Him. You do not need to share your private struggles or compare your experience with anyone else’s.
