What is the GospelEffort?
The GospelEffort is a call, a challenge, an invitation:
* If you are not a Christian or believer in Jesus: repent and believe the gospel.
* If you are a Christian: have the gospel be the basis for everything you do - be salt and light.
Why GospelEffort?
GospelEffort is the combination of two concepts:
1. The gospel is what brings us into relationship with God - what saves us.
2. Effort is how the gospel works in our lives so that we respond in love to God and to each other.
One clarification: effort is not necessary for salvation and without the gospel being the basis for effort - effort turns into legalism, trying to earn God's favor, and justify or sanctify yourself.
