😜The weirdest way I learned to build an IRL that actually sticks

So, December 2024, I did it—I jump into freezing IRL water with @Ethan Simons and @Andy Monroe.

Yeah, it was cold and also uncomfortable at the beginning.

No, I didn’t die.

But wow, did it slap my mindset awake—like a “Hey, stop chasing shiny stuff and get real” kind of slap.

Here’s what I learned between the teeth-chattering and shivering:

Trying to rope in people from across the ocean?Miserable idea. Focus on your local crew first—it’s easier, faster, and way more fun.
Fancy marketing pitches?Yawn. People want you—the real, goofy, unfiltered you. That’s connection gold.
Saying no to huge launches that aren’t right?Best decision ever. Makes room for the right vibes and better stuff down the road.

So, we ditched the “big bang” and went cozy—with Vienna’s own entrepreneurs becoming our heartbeat.
