Hello all! I'm super excited to join you guys. Even just the last day being here the vibes are 💯
I wanted to post something that I learned a couple of years ago and has changed the way I look at life/business/world conquest/etc.
But first context: I'm 28 and have used a wheelchair since I was 2. For most of my life I tried to compensate for the areas I struggle (fatigue, accessibility, etc) by just hustling and being more creative in my solutions.
Then about 3 years ago I was taught something by a mentor that changed my mindset. Success is almost never a solo mission. And the benefit of a team is that you don't have to be good at everything. You have people to use their strengths in areas where you are weak. So don't waste tons of energy trying to get mediocre at something you hate or aren't good at. Find a partner or team member and then double down on what you enjoy/are really good at.
Limitations are only constraints if we live in a bubble. But in a community they are opportunities for connection and collaboration.
So for any of you out there building something and thinking you have to do it all, take a moment to list off what you do and don't like to do. And what you are and are not good at. Self improvement is great, but self acceptance is also.
Drop in the comments any thoughts you have from those lists and what areas (because you hate doing it or you aren't confident in it) that you want to collaborate on. Let's see the amazing power of this community at work.
