Wild boars
Wild boars' population in Portugal has been growing, namely in the Arrábida mountain range (Setúbal region), so some 400 to 600 were killed last year, and 600/700 will be shot in 2026. They provoke many damages to farms and are seen in the beaches in the region, raising worries among the residents.
