Just one day
Oh, my dearest heart, let this be known,
On just one day a year, we celebrate,
The love we hold, the joy we've sown,
But every day, our love should be great.
In the eyes of the world, we may hide,
Our truest feelings, our hearts inside,
But in our own way, we should abide,
And show our love, with hearts open wide.
On this one day, we may pretend,
To be the perfect partner, the best,
But love is not a show, it's a true friend,
That's with us always, no need to quest.
So let us not reserve, our love so true,
For just one day, but every day, anew,
Let us show them, we love them so,
In every way, with hearts aglow.
