Breaking the Poverty Spirit
3 Steps to Break the Poverty Spirit and Finally Cross Over and Stay Free
  1. Repent and Renounce: Acknowledge any agreement with lack, fear, scarcity, or a poverty mindset. Repent before God and verbally renounce the spirit of poverty. Break every lie that says you will never have enough. Freedom begins with alignment.
  2. Tithe and Sow into Good Ground: Honor God with your first fruits. Tithing restores order and trust. Sowing into good ground places you under grace, covering, and multiplication. You cannot break a poverty spirit while withholding seed.
  3. Believe, Be a Good Steward, and Recognize Your Crossover: Faith replaces fear. Believe God is your source, not people, systems, or circumstances. Steward what He places in your hands with wisdom and integrity. Recognize when you have crossed over and acknowledge every blessing along the way. Gratitude and stewardship protect the breakthrough and keep you from returning to old cycles.
1: Repent and Renounce
• Set aside 15 uninterrupted minutes.• Write down every statement you have believed or spoken that reflects lack or fear.Examples: “I will never catch up.” “Money is hard to keep.” “I am always behind.”• Repent out loud for agreeing with these lies.• Renounce them verbally. Say:“I renounce the spirit of poverty, lack, fear, and scarcity. I break agreement with every lie that says I will not have enough. I align my mind with the truth of God’s Word.”• Replace each lie with truth from Scripture. Write the new declaration and speak it daily for 7 days.
2: Tithe and Sow into Good Ground
• Review your last 30 days of income. Calculate your tithe.• If you have not been tithing, choose a starting point and commit to consistency.• Pray and ask God where your seed belongs. Good ground produces fruit and alignment, not pressure or manipulation.• Give intentionally, not emotionally. Name your seed before God.• Write down why you are sowing and what you are believing for. This creates spiritual clarity and accountability.
3: Believe, Steward, and Recognize Your Crossover
• Track every dollar that comes in and goes out for the next 14 days. Stewardship reveals patterns.• Create a simple plan for what God has already placed in your hands. Even small order invites increase.• Each day, write down one way God provided, opened a door, or shifted your mindset.• When you see increase, peace, or consistency where chaos once lived, acknowledge your crossover.• Thank God out loud. Gratitude locks in the breakthrough and guards your mind from returning to old cycles.
Do not rush this. Obedience over time breaks cycles permanently.
