I got an interview at a Dispatching company as a sales agent. btw, I don't know about sales, but they need a sales agent. When I told them like: I'm NOT an absolute newbie, I have foundational knowledge about dispatching, they decided to get me a mock call at a certain date.
My Responsibility:
I have a job to convince the carrier (owner-operator) to get into a contract with our company.
(The company's looking for all types of truckers, like Reefer, Dry van, Power only, Box truck, flatbed, and Step Deck)
Problems I'm facing:
I'm NOT prepared for it right now, cuz I said before I don't know about sales calls.
- How to start a conversation.
- How to answer if he'd say like: I'm NOT interested, I do dispatch myself, I already have a dispatcher, I don't want dispatch services. I'm working with the broker.
- How to make a call flow.
- How to respond if they'd say, like: I'm looking for the loads. What to ask for the equipment, like when he says, like I have a PO or reefer and whatever, what should I ask about equipment?
- How to control conversation.
- What and when should I say?
- I need a proper sales script that covers everything.
and more....
I need to prepare myself as soon as tomorrow.
Please HELP me!
