The Old School Way
Greetings fellow campers,
I will be your host and be sharing my adventures as well as watching yours. I hope this will be a page we can all learn from each other and live our best lives through our shared experiences. Camping and boondocking are a passion for most of us. Isn't it great to hook up a mobile house, head off to the forest and set up far from other people or as a group and just enjoy nature?
Waking up as the sun comes up, seeing and hearing the humming birds come quench their thirst at the feeder you hung out the night before, sipping your campfire coffee that always seems to taste better in the woods, there simply is nothing better.
The day goes well until you find a leak that has to be fixed or some other project comes, but you don't mind, it's all part of hauling a home on 4 or 6 wheels 80-100 miles or more to get away. Us boondockers are a hearty bunch, we have seen just about everything over the years. You have to remember when hauling a camper over different roads or off road is like putting your little home through a mild earthquake every trip. Things just break. It's knowing how to fix them or at least patch them till you get home that helps.
If you are like me, your tool kit has just about everything you need to fix anything. J B Weld, waterproof weld, duct tape (Gorilla) a full tool kit, screws, nuts bolts washers fuses, wiring, straps, straps and more straps, steaks, parachute cord, replacement parts, valves, toilet parts, puddy, calking, flex seal calk and spray just to name a few things. I have parts for big things I don't remember, but I am NOT pulling my cubby out to see.
So welcome aboard, pull up your favorite camping chair, have a cup of coffee and lets swap stories while the humming birds dance in the air for us. Breakfast will be ready soon.
~ Chad
