Command note: A workflow name is the only documentation most of them will ever get.
If the name says "New Lead Flow 2 (copy)", nobody can tell what it does, and neither can the AI you ask to audit it. Name it so the trigger, the action and the owner are readable in one glance.
A name that works:
• Trigger first: "Form submitted", "Tag added: booked", "Stage: Proposal sent"
• Then the outcome: "Send confirmation + create task"
• Then the status: LIVE, DRAFT or RETIRED
• Same pattern on every account, every time
Do it now:
1) List every workflow on one account — copy the current names into a sheet
2) Rewrite each name as "Trigger > Outcome" — if you cannot, you have found a workflow nobody understands
3) Add a status prefix — LIVE, DRAFT or RETIRED
4) Rename the copies and tests — "copy", "test" and "new" are not names
5) Save the pattern as a one-line rule for the whole team
A good name turns an audit from archaeology into a read.
