Tuesday at 10 am we'll have technically our second coffee chat of 2026-- first one was more testing out the live video chat functions in the Skool calendar, which it does work so we're ready for you! Anyway, while we can keep coffee chat open to what's on your mind, if you have nothing in mind, let's chat logos! While an article about a university launching a "one logo" effort (same logo for academics, athletics, etc.) gave me the idea, logos and rebranding gives us plenty to work with-- when/how do we know it's time to tweak or change, how many logos/brand marks are needed, big change vs small tweaks... you get the idea.

I'll lead with the goods which explains why I chose this Elf GIF. Tip for our speakers or aspiring speakers out there: Rename your headshot photo files to include your first and last name (so it's no longer, say, "headshot2"). This will make life easier for whoever is on the other end of promotions, and if you're receiving branded graphics in return you might get those back faster if they know who's who/aren't redoing them 12 times. And even if it's not speaking, but any other opportunity to provide a headshot or something that represents you, go ahead and name the files with your name so so there's no confusion. Ok the short backstory for those who care :) Working on another project which includes speaker headshots. 2 of the 3 have generic file titles. Fortunately 1 of those 2 I recognize, so the last one is process of elimination/has to be remaining name. But I couldn't help but wonder how this would get weird and also slow things down if I didn't recognize one of them, or if I just had a larger speaker pool.

I like to think we always have something we can celebrate- not every victory requires pomp and circumstance.
