I've joined this community partly out of respect for John E and what he is trying to build, and partly out of frustration. For several years, I assisted as a peer mentor on a voluntary basis for a private clinic. When this arrangement ended, I found it almost impossible to find something similar. Barriers are erected, sometimes for understandable reasons but often not. What I value most is a sense of community with fellow suffers and I believe I have a lot to give back.
