Dentist help
Hey all, I'm feeling a bit meh. I had the Equine dentist out today and took along my daughter to hold the ponies due to my injury 🙄. Breeze has regular checks so it is not new to her, she can be a fidget but I let her drift a bit to let off some of the nervous energy as it can't be a nice thing for them. Today the dentist who is a lovely, calm guy has a back injury and I (as us empaths do) could feel him getting angry and frustrated, she was backing up a bit and clearly worried. I called a halt on it by saying the vet was due to take her wolf tooth out next month so I'll ask them to do it whilst she is sedated. I feel awful as Breeze was worried and I don't feel I have prepared her well enough to cope with it. This is on the back of a week where the farrier came and Breeze nipped her (I wasn't there) and she got told off 😬I need to think of some ways to help her manage with all these essentials and for us both to feel confident that someone else can stand in for me and all will be well. Has anyone got any great methods - I was wondering about using my feed stirrer which is long and rasp shaped and using some apple sauce and seeing if I can get her confident about having it run over her teeth. She is no problem to worm at all as we used a similar method. Thanks all 😊
