Your website has ONE job: turn a Google search into a phone call.
Here are the 3 things I check first on any local business site: 1. Your phone number is clickable and visible without scrolling. If a customer has to hunt for it, you've already lost them. 2. Your city + service are in the headline. "Welcome to our website" tells Google nothing. "Emergency Plumber in Frisco, TX" tells Google everything. 3. One clear button. "Call Now" or "Get a Free Quote" — not five links competing for attention. Check your site against these three right now. Drop your score (0–3) below and I'll tell you which fix matters most for you.

Everyone in your town has 5 stars. Nobody remembers any of you.
Open your Google Maps and search your own category. Every listing is 4.8, 4.9, 5.0. Stars used to filter businesses. Now they are just the price of admission. When everything looks identical, people do not pick the highest rated. They pick the one that feels familiar. And familiarity does not come from a listing. It comes from a face, in video, answering real questions in a real voice. SOCi's 2026 Local Discovery Index found that 59% of US consumers say a social post or video has directly made them a customer of a local business. Not a review. Not a star. A post or a video. A customer who has watched you explain one thing will drive past three higher-rated competitors to meet you. Familiarity beats a 0.2 star gap every single time. You do not need to go viral. One 60-second video a week, answering one question a customer actually asked you this week. That is the whole system. So here is the question: if a customer compares you with the shop down the street, what do they know about YOU that they cannot know about them?

📌 PROFILE FEEDBACK THREAD — HOW IT WORKS
1. Post ONE link: your Google Business Profile (your google.com/maps listing link). 2. One line saying what you do and where — e.g. "Plumber in Frisco, TX." 3. Give feedback to at least one other member before expecting feedback on yours. Good feedback is specific: name the exact thing you'd change (photos, categories, reviews, hours, business description) and say why. 🚫 No promo links. No pitching in DMs. No "nice profile!" with nothing behind it. Off-topic or promo replies get removed. New thread every Monday. Let's get found.
