Thinking different.
Another Bob Dylan-related post lol.
In case you didn't read yesterday's post, I recently watched the movie A Complete Unknown.
It's a movie about the famous singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, who wrote some of the greatest songs of all time.
One thing that really stood out to me about Bob Dylan in the movie was that he clearly THOUGHT DIFFERENTLY from everyone around him.
If you watch the movie, you know exactly what I mean when I say this.
Dylan, both in the movie and real life, did not follow what everyone else was doing. He was INSPIRED by many people around his time, but he did not copy them. He took what they did and truly transformed it into something completely unique.
And as a result, he's praised as a music legend.
But this attribute is, of course, not limited to Bob Dylan.
Really anyone throughout history that we call a "genius," thought differently from everyone around them.
This is showcased well in the Apple advertisement "Think Different" (link below).
I've been grappling with this idea myself the past few days.
How can we, both as students and entrepreneurs, think differently with our work and careers?
How can we avoid following the crowd and GENUINELY make something original?
I think, if you can answer that question, you can achieve almost anything you want.
