Not sure what types of math questions to drill

I'm constantly scoring mid-high 600's on math and I'm yet to break 700. When I come across a harder problem, my brain just checks out or rushes through with the knowledge that I'm probably getting it wrong anyways (usually problem solving or geometry). Not sure if I should focus on drilling the basics to try and push up the "floor" or if I should focus on harder problems to push through those blocks.
