Day 74/120: A Practice Test Is Never a Waste
Hello everyone! Hope you're all doing great as always.
Yesterday, I took my first Bluebook practice test since March. My original plan was to simulate the real SAT as closely as possible by starting at exactly 8:00 AM, just like test day.
Unfortunately, life had other plans.
I had to leave early in the morning because of some things outside my control, and I didn't get back home until around 2 PM. By then I was exhausted, hadn't slept well the night before, and definitely wasn't in the best condition to take a two-hour exam.
Because of that, I don't think my score is fully representative of where I am right now.
But honestly, that's okay.
One thing I've learned throughout this journey is that consistency matters more than perfection. Even though the conditions weren't ideal, the test was far from a waste. It still showed me where I need to improve, what topics I should spend more time on, and what my next steps should be. The only thing I wish is that the score report gave a little more detail.
Every practice test is feedback. Some just give better feedback than others.
Now it's time to review my mistakes, learn from them, and come back stronger on the next one.
How often do you guys take full-length practice tests, and do you try to simulate the real testing conditions?
Good luck with your prep, and I'll see you all soon.
