Hello and welcome to this community! My name is Alan Mattiassi, and I am a Game Psychologist (you can find more about me here: alanmattiassi.com and on my -italian- YouTube channel here: http://www.youtube.com/@gameinsightsAM). In the last 10 years I worked in applying game psychology to learning and I worked with many meany teachers and educators that learned in my courses how to use games in the classroom. Now I want to collect all the best game-based learning practices and activities all over the world. So how does this community work? I made this web-app that you can find here: https://gbl-database.lovable.app/. It can be used to collect all the details of a game-based learning activity: it has been built on the academic and scientific concept of REPLICABILITY, so that anyone who reads the report as it has been collected can replicate it. When an activity has been replicated, it can be discussed and as such it can made into a better version of it. So, collecting activities, replicating them, testing them, discussing them, is a loop that allows all the activites to converge to their final and most effective forms. Here you find all the collected acitivites, supervised by me, that you can discuss and bring into your classroom. All the collected activities will be attributed to the respective author, since everything will be released with a creative common licence that requires the attribution to the author. So, this will grow and grow to become the most deep and comprehensinve game-based learning repository on the web. Mind you: at first, it will be a free community, so you will have access to all the activities. So JOIN FOR FREE UNTIL YOU CAN! When the number of collected activities will reach one hundred, the community will become paid, since you will have access to what will essentially be a game-based learning book of ready to use activities - and we will start considering a proper publication that will be free for all the community members.
