Tuesday Tip: The "Wall Tap" Hip Hinge Pattern Fixer 🧱
Most people deadlift with their lower back. But a true hinge moves at the hips (lumbopelvic rhythm), loading glutes and hamstrings while your spine stays neutral.
Action Tip: Stand a foot from a wall, push your hips back until your glutes tap it, shins vertical. Do 10 slow reps. That's "The Wall Tap".
What's your hinge habit?
Vote below, then comment: where do you feel deadlifts most?
I drill the hinge pattern regularly and feel it in my glutes and hamstrings ✅
I can hinge fine when I focus but lose it when the weight gets heavy 🤏
I just bend down and lift, and my lower back does the work 😬
I squat my deadlifts and don't know the difference 🦵
I'd never heard hinging and squatting were different movements 👀
