Put Your Resource links Here.
This discussion could well be the most valuable resource for everyone in this group. As admin we’ll be copying links here to assist everyone in finding answers to everyday issues we all come across and we hope that you’ll do the same. We are specifically looking for links to Regulation, Legislation and standards, along with manufacturer materials of all types from standard details to D.O.P’s and H&S Guidance, in fact anything that can or may influence the way we all carry out our duties in the passive fire sector. To kick off we’re starting with a link to the foundation of everything we do, UK Building Regulations Part B (inc all revisions and updates):- https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fire-safety-approved-document-b And what will be one of the newest and most eagerly awaited Standards in the Passive Fire Protection sector, BS 9994 Fire Strategies in buildings. Keep an eye on how this standard takes shape to gain an understanding of how BS and EN standards and norms shape how the sector operates within these guidelines. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fire-engineering-profession-reform/next-steps-on-fire-engineering-profession-reform

WELCOME!
Welcome to the definitive home for those committed to the life-safety critical discipline of Passive Fire Protection (PFP). Whether you are an Apprentice picking up a mastic gun for the first time, an Experienced Installer navigating the transition to Euroclass, or a Surveyor/Manager overseeing complex high-rise projects—this community is for you. 🎯 Our Mission: Raising the Bar Together The 2026 regulatory landscape, driven by the Building Safety Act, has made "demonstrable competence" the industry’s highest currency. A Heads up for new members regarding levelling up.
So that everyone can level up easily here’s a small but important tip. Points are awarded for posts and when other people give a like to your posts or replies so it’s a really good idea if you post a short introduction and to give a few thumbs up to fellow members to progress.

Raising the Standard in PFP
Hi all, thanks for setting this up. I fully support the focus on proof of competence and verifiable CPD. I’m UK-based (Exeter) and I’m happy to help where I can, share practical site examples, and support quality-first discussions. If we keep it evidence-led and consistent, this can genuinely raise the standard across the trade.
