Filing an N4 and an N5 When a Tenant Owes Rent & Utilities
Recently, I spoke with a Landlord whose tenants owe her rent and utilities. I had always been under the impression that utilities would also go under the N4, but when I started digging into it, I found that the factual answer was the utility portion has to go on an N5.
It was under Reason 1: for substantially interfering with the landlord’s interests.
I’ve attached an article from Landlord Self Help Centre that explains it in more detail.
