During the transition of power to King David, 1 Chronicles 12:32 highlights the leaders of Issachar as "men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do."

My Episcopal priest closes every Sunday worship service with the following Benediction: “The world is now too dangerous and too beautiful for anything but love So may God take your minds and think through them May God take your lips and speak through them May God take your hands and feet and works through them And may God take your hearts and set them on fire.”

My advisor at Cincinnati Bible Seminary challenged me to view scripture from the Eastern perspective. He added that most of the Bible was written from this viewpoint. The lessons which are posted in Issachar will be from this Eastern perspective. It will focus on how God works in the lives of people, rather than on individual behavior.
