Jed Smith: This is My Introduction to the FG Community
Hey Forging Growth! I am so excited for 2026 and all the Personal, Professional, and Purposeful Growth that is going to happen this year. At the time of writing this post, we currently have 4 members, including myself. I pinned what I believe to be the outline for an amazing introduction that communicates who you are, where you want to grow, what you want to grow and why you want to grow alongside the Forging Growth Community? The only remaining thing for me to do is lead myself and exemplify what I believe that looks like. So... Hello Everyone! My name is Jed, and I am currently operating just outside the Greater Toronto Area in Canada. I desire to grow in the Personal, Professional, and Purposeful areas of my life. Here's the major goal I have for each: Personal: I want to continue to get over my fear of talking in front of a camera by completing the Higher Upper Wellness Challenge. Making 1 daily video for the rest of this year, with no edits or use of filler words while speaking for a minimum of 1 minute. Professional: I need to go all-in in my business this year and make enough from my business that I can pay to attend the International Maxwell Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, by August 2026, so that I can complete my Coaching Curriculum and prove to the world (and my occasional self-doubt) that I am a legit Leadership Coach. Purposeful: As a part of my Business's mission, I want to build a Community for Driven Christians so none of us have to grow alone. The reason why I created Forging Growth is that there have been many times in my own growth journey where I felt lonely, lacked clarity, lost spiritually and was lured into laziness or lassitude (that's an L word for burnout); and I know my past experience isn't uncommon. Most of you who are reading this have felt or perhaps still feel like I once did. I want you to have what I sometimes didn't. The right like-minded Christian friends, mentors and community that can make you that much more effective at being faithfully driven and become ambitious stewards of God's resources and calling.
