Journal Prompt: Discovering Your True Identity
Brothers, too often we define ourselves by titles, roles, and responsibilities... husband, father, business owner, leader. These are noble and important, but they are not the core of who we are. For at least 2 decades I found my identity in my career. I'll say I thought I was doing the right thing... You know, providing for my family but what they really needed was more of me. Today’s journal prompt is designed to cut past all the noise and help you uncover your God-given identity: “If every title, role, and responsibility was stripped from me—no job, no bank account, no possessions, no status—who would remain? What values, beliefs, and truths about myself would still stand when everything else is gone?” Sit with this. Write it out honestly, even if the answers scare you or surprise you. For deeper reflection, you can also explore: - What are the moments in my life where I felt most fully alive and authentic? - Which lies about my worth or manhood have I accepted, and what truth counters them? - If I lived only from my God-given identity, how would my actions, words, and leadership look different? This isn’t about writing the “right” answer. It’s about chiseling away the stone until the man God forged you to be is revealed. 👉 Drop a comment below once you’ve done the exercise and share one insight or breakthrough. Your words may unlock something for another brother in the forge.

Legacy Isn’t Built in a Day — It’s Forged Through Moments with Our Children
Brothers, our legacy isn’t the money in our bank account or the titles on our résumé. It’s the imprint we leave on our children’s hearts and minds. The small, intentional moments stack into a foundation that will outlast us. Here are some simple yet powerful ideas to start building that legacy with your kids: - Family Story Nights – Share your life lessons, struggles, and victories. Let them hear your journey straight from you. - Service Projects Together – Volunteer at a local shelter, clean up a park, or serve at church. Teach them that leadership begins with service. - Legacy Journal – Create a family journal where each person writes prayers, reflections, or gratitude. Over the years it becomes a living heirloom. - Skill Passing – Whether it’s changing a tire, cooking a favorite meal, or building something with your hands, intentionally pass down the practical wisdom they’ll one day teach their own children. - Rites of Passage – Mark milestones (age 10, 13, 16, etc.) with intentional words of blessing, prayer, and challenge. These moments echo for decades. Legacy isn’t abstract—it’s daily action. Each moment you choose presence over distraction, you forge a memory, a lesson, a thread in your family’s story. 👉 Brothers, what’s one legacy-building activity you’ve done with your children—or one you’re committed to starting this week?

“But these are written so that you may believe that 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, the 𝗦𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” — John 20:31 Brotherhood, every strong man and every lasting legacy begins with Foundation. Without it, everything else crumbles. In John 20:31, we’re reminded that Scripture was written so we may believe. 𝗦𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 our faith wouldn’t be based on shifting feelings, but on unshakable truth. In the 𝗙.𝗢.𝗥.𝗚.𝗘.𝗗. 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, Foundation is where everything starts. Your habits, your leadership, your goals, your discipline... All of it stands on what you believe to be true about God, about yourself, and about your purpose. If your foundation is firm, the storms can come, the fire can burn, and you will stand. But if it’s weak, success will always feel temporary, and peace will always feel out of reach. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸, 𝗜 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂: • Go back to the Word and strengthen the base of your faith. • Ask yourself: What am I truly building my life on? • Recommit to living like you believe the promises written for you. Your Foundation determines your future. Let’s build it together, brick by brick, brother by brother. 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 | 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 | 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆
