𖧧 September's Herb: Hyssop
Okay, Herb Club. It’s time to meet our first plant. ᰍ This month, we’re spending some time with hyssop. Before we get too deep into books & monographs, start with the plant itself. ❀ OBSERVE Look at it. Smell it. Notice its shape, texture, flowers, leaves & growth. What catches your attention? ꕤ IDENTIFY What exactly is being called “hyssop”? Are there other plants sharing the name? ᯽ EXPLORE What has hyssop traditionally been used for? Where do those traditions come from? ✧ QUESTION What claims about hyssop keep appearing? Where did they come from? Do the sources agree? 𔓘 FOLLOW A RABBIT HOLE Find something that makes you curious & follow it. A strange fact. A botanical question. A traditional use. A growing question. Something you’re not sure is actually true. ♡ RESPOND Draw it. Photograph it. Make tea. Write something. Keep a field note. You can even share: “I don’t know what I think about this yet.” That counts. You don’t need to learn everything this month. Just start getting to know the plant. Premium members can join me for the Herb Club meetup at the end of the month, where we’ll bring our discoveries together & take a deeper dive into hyssop. There is also a course in the the classroom with prompts and links to resources. ❋ So… what catches your attention first?

Welcome to Herb Club. ᰍ
A place to slow down, get curious & spend some time getting to know plants. Each month, we choose one herb to explore together through observation, study, making, growing, conversation & curiosity. You don’t need to be an herbalist. You don’t need to know everything. You don’t even need to do everything. ❀ MEET THE HERB Each month starts with a new Herb of the Month. I’ll introduce the plant in the Community with prompts to help you get started. ✧ EXPLORE Read about it. Find it growing. Grow it. Make something. Follow a rabbit hole. Question something you’ve heard. There’s no one right way to explore a plant. ᯽ SHARE Bring your questions, discoveries, photos, drawings, recipes, observations, resources, rabbit holes & unfinished thoughts into the Community. You don’t need to have all the answers first. ꕤ GO DEEPER Premium members get deeper monthly study materials in the Classroom, including original monographs, recipes & other resources. ♡ HERB CLUB MEETUP! At the end of each month, Premium members can join me for a live Herb Circle. We’ll bring our discoveries together, ask questions, dig deeper into the plant & learn from each other. The recording will be available afterward. ❋ TO BEGIN 1. Introduce yourself in the 'Introduction' discussion & tell us what brings you here. 2. Check out the 'Classroom' and begin with the 'Welcome to Herb Club' course 3. Then head over to the current Herb of the Month discussion & come meet the plant. There’s no test. No homework. No perfect way to participate. Just plants, curiosity & a bunch of people who want to know them better.

Herbal Atlas — How the Map Works
The Herbal Atlas is a living map of herbalists, growers, land-based practitioners, and medicine makers. Its purpose is: - connection - collaboration (not competition) - regional knowledge sharing - supporting local, regenerative practice How it works: - Practitioners, growers, and natural wellness businesses can add your listing - Listings include practice focus + region - The map grows slowly and intentionally This is a network layer, not the main reason to join — it emerges through participation. https://www.google.ca/maps/d/u/1/edit?mid=1MnLxI6S5s4iNFRm83I75ZFSJqSwz_AY&usp=sharing
