duck away
Hi, folks. Here I am with an issue that somehow I have always been able to avoid.
I am at a mix-down stage.
So, for example: One track is a synth bass/pad/arp. ‘S’
The other is a bass. ‘B’
‘S’ has already reverb baked in.
Together, ‘S’ and ‘B’ sound a bit muddy, because ‘B’ doesn’t stand out enough from ‘S’.
In order to fix this I side-chained ‘S’ so that when the bass hits, the synth ducks away a bit.
I think that worked out reasonably well.
My REAL question is:
When I render or bounce the ‘S ‘track, will the moments when it ducks away for the bass be included?
The reason for my question is because I would prefer to work with clean, ready tracks, that may need just some EQ or whatever necessary.
Did I confuse everyone? I hope not. Advice appreciated.
