Grassroots football gave me something I didn't realise I'd lost - purpose.
I was stuck in the same routine, my mental health slipping and unsure who I was anymore desperate to make a change. Then I volunteered at a coaching session. Within minutes I felt alive again. I went home exhausted but mentally stronger than I'd been in years.
