Women Speak & Grow Rich – Notes (Sept 20, 2025)
I went to a conference yesterday and I want to share some of the notes I took. 🙌
I go to these events so you don’t always have to but honestly, if you ever get the chance, invest in yourself and go. Some of these conferences are truly life-changing. Sometimes all it takes is one idea, one spark, to move you forward with your oil. ✨
Two things I learned from yesterday:
- I've been playing it too small
- Who do I need to release to be able to do this and run the play!

Core Principles of Speaking
- Paid to Speak (old school): Get paid upfront for the talk.
- Speak for Free: You’re writing your own check. The true blessing is beyond the stage (offers, clients, connections). Always make an offer—don’t “operate on people” and leave them open.
- Pay to Play: If you lack presence on social media, you may pay to get stage access. But avoid “pay to play” if it only benefits their mailing list.
- Speak to Sell: Only speak when you have a product/service to offer. Always align your talk with the right audience and opportunity.
➡️ My Flow of Priority: Speak to Sell → Pay to Play → Paid to Speak → Speak for Free. What’s yours? Pick one to start with and then the flow of priority.
➡️ Goal: Commit to 25 speaking opportunities in the next 12 months.
Mindset & Messaging
- Don’t worry if people can “afford it.” It's not your business to know what is in their pocket. Create value so they want it.
- Sell results, not features. Position your product/service as transformation. Not motivation.
- Speaking is the #1 vehicle to launch a business, product, or movement.
- Teaching makes more money—leverage your expertise.
- Always launch a product or book with a mic in your hand. (Big one)
Personalities in the Room
- Urchin: Detail-oriented.
- Whale: Faith/ministry, servant-heart, must learn to ask for payment.
- Dolphin: Excitement-driven, fun-seeking.
- Shark: Aggressive go-getter, needs clarity and belief.
➡️ Know your type and take it to the next level. Choose one.
Levels of Value
- Implementation (hands-on work): Time for money ($8/hr – $80K).
- Unification (management): $40K–$250K. Plan your exit here. LEAVE IT ALONE!
- Communication (speaking): $100K–$100M. Transform rooms with words. (Get here)
- Imagination (visionary thinking): $1M–$1T. Use your mind (use the mind of God of course) to create wealth. (Get here)
Storytelling
- Turn your story into a message (not just testimony).
- Share pain + transformation → this makes you unforgettable.
- Start with your deepest struggle—what did you overcome?
- Your story = your brand. It opens doors and gets you paid.
Speaking Opportunities

- Colleges/Universities
- Churches/Faith-based
- Nonprofits

- Empowerment/Personal Development Events

- Associations (sororities, real estate, etc.)

Books & Products - (this is what we are going to be build out in our community. Books are in!!)
- Books = courses and client magnets, not one-off sales.
- Every book should funnel readers back to you.
- Story + Message + Masses = Millions.
- Courses, coaching, and events multiply your impact.
Profitable Speaking & Coaching
- One message → multiple platforms → millions.
- Coaching = future-paced. Don’t just inspire, give clarity and results.
- Focus on what clients really want (freedom, clarity, transformation).
- 4 top industries: Finance, Health/Wellness, Business, Relationships.
Business Systems
- Value Ladder: Different levels of offers for different client needs at different prices.
- Charge for the experience + knowledge (not time).
- Create group coaching (like church services and let them choose the time. Think mega church. They have services at 9 am , 11am, and 1pm and people choose a time to attend).
- Don’t hesitate to price—recoup your investments (degrees, programs, certifications, life experience–how much did that cost you).
Visibility & Marketing
- The person with the mic wins.
- Become a transformational speaker, not just motivational.
- Social media is free—get visible, stop making excuses.
- Build presence with headshots, bios (short & long), sizzle reels, and testimonials.
- Have 3 talk titles with clear outcomes.
Key Income Goals (12 Months)
- Books: $25 × 1,000 = $25,000 or 50,000 x 20 = $1M
- Speaking: 2x/month at $10K = $240,000
- Events: $200 × 1,000 = $200,000
- Courses: $997 × 1,001 = $1M+
- Coaching/Consulting: $10K × 1,000 = $10M+
