Sometimes it takes a dire situation to wake us up
The widow in 2 Kings 4 didn’t move until her husband died and the creditors were coming to take her sons. That was her breaking point.
But here’s the truth: many of us live the same way. We don’t make changes until we lose the job, until the doctor gives the diagnosis, until the bills are about to swallow us whole. I know, because I’ve done the same thing. I waited until things got bad before I shifted, before I cried out, before I moved.
But what if we didn’t wait? What if we recognized the oil in our house before the tank truck hit, before the crisis forced our hand?
If you’re in a hard place right now where you’re saying, “God, I don’t know what to do”, don’t ignore that cry. Tap in. Like the widow, go to the Source. Your breakthrough is connected to obedience and to recognizing what God has already placed in you.
Don’t wait for the storm to drown you before you move. And if you’re already in the storm, you’re not too late. God still multiplies.
✨ Move before the dire situation.
✨ Cry out if you’re already there.
✨ Trust the oil He’s already given you.
Because breakthrough doesn’t start when things get better but it starts when you move.
